Meet the Nominees

This year, we’ve selected three outstanding local charities that make a significant impact within our community. Whether it’s providing support to families facing childhood cancer, offering compassionate care to those with life-limiting illnesses, or tackling food insecurity and isolation, these organisations are making a real difference in Romford. By participating in the vote, you’ll have the chance to directly influence which of these deserving charities will benefit from The Liberty’s Christmas Grotto proceeds, helping them to continue their vital work throughout the year.

Mitchell's Miracles

Mitchell’s Miracles, our 2023 Christmas charity, supports the families of children diagnosed with neuroblastoma, a rare and aggressive form of childhood cancer. The charity provides vital financial and emotional support, helping families through the unimaginable challenges of childhood cancer treatment. A second year of support from The Liberty would allow them to expand their services, offering more families the assistance they need during these difficult times.

AHAVA Community

AHAVA Community works to combat food poverty and social isolation in Romford, providing food banks, community outreach, and support services to the town’s most vulnerable residents. With The Liberty’s backing, AHAVA would be able to extend its reach, helping even more struggling families and individuals during the festive season and throughout the year.

St Francis Hospice

St Francis Hospice offers specialist palliative care to individuals with life-limiting conditions. By providing expert medical care, emotional support, and comfort, they ensure patients and their families receive the compassion and dignity they deserve. With The Liberty’s Christmas proceeds, St Francis Hospice can continue offering essential services to even more people during some of life’s most challenging moments.
