Launching back in 1970 and continuing annually ever since, Earth Day is all about investing in our planet with a mission to diversify, educate and activate the environmental movement worldwide. This year’s Earth Day takes place on Monday 22nd April, and The Liberty Romford joined 150,000 other businesses in doing their bit to drive positive action for our planet.
In alignment with our commitment to sustainability and community engagement, we are inviting local secondary schools to unleash the creativity of their students by creating eco-themed artworks. Whether it’s through paintings, sculptures, or mixed media.
The theme for this competition is “Free to Make a Change this Earth Day.” We believe that through artistic expression, our youth can raise awareness about the importance of environmental conservation and inspire positive change within our community. We’re pleased to announce that Emerson Park Academy is taking part, and we can’t wait to see their art submissions!
The winning entry will not only receive recognition and pride but also a special Community Landscaping Prize. The Liberty Shopping Centre management team will dedicate an afternoon to landscaping a green space at the school of the winning pupil, adding native plants and wildflowers to enhance biodiversity and promote sustainability.
For more information on how your school can be involved, please email content@frogboxmarketing.com.
The entry deadline for pupil submissions is Friday 10th May 2024.
Terms and conditions apply.
