Throughout August, The Liberty Shopping Centre took visitors on a journey through space with their free summer events. The centre was dressed in a larger-than-life display of our solar system, and children were invited to come along for free activities, every week for the first 3 weeks of August.
From rocket building to galaxy slime making, children explored their creative skills and learned all there was to know about the planets in our solar system. Shoppers also got to see what it was like to space travel, with the free VR space experience.
Thousands of families attended with event participants totaling more than 3000 over 12 event dates.
Marketing Manager at The Liberty Romford, Adrian Racaru commented: “We were overwhelmed and delighted with the number of families paying us a visit over August to participate in our “Free to be Space Bound” events. Giving back to our shoppers is something we love to do, and seeing how happy it made our younger visitors was priceless.
“Offering an educational element to the campaign was a bonus, getting children excited to learn about the solar system was a huge benefit to the activity.
“We’re excited to announce plans for the last few months of the year, with activities planned for October Half Term and Christmas.”
